Já faz mais de dez anos que eu mantenho uma coleção de anotações, citações, ideias, referências, receitas e quinquilharias diversas, que inclui também uma lista de livros para comprar e ler. Fui descobrindo esses livros, um por um, no meio de matérias, artigos, comentários em fóruns, pesquisando sobre algum assunto ou gênero ou autor que me interessava no momento, e de mil outros jeitos diferentes. Tem um pouco de tudo aí, mas sempre sigo os mesmos critérios: os de não-ficção são referência reconhecida e de alta qualidade em determinado assunto, ou então oferecem uma perspectiva original sobre ele. Os de ficção são mais idiossincráticos, e a lista é menor porque são os que compro com mais frequência e, sendo extremamente exigente, tenho encontrado cada vez menos coisas que me interessem.

Grande parte da minha biblioteca pessoal esteve nessa lista, e a ordem em que eu vou comprando os livros e apagando os nomes é praticamente aleatória, então alguns títulos estão aí há anos, outros acabaram de chegar, e não ofereço garantia nenhuma. Só têm em comum o fato de, em alguma medida, terem me interessado pessoalmente. A maioria é em Inglês, sim, e precisam ser importados, porque, uma vez que você descubra o quanto o mercado brasileiro de livros é pequeno e ineficiente, e a quantidade de coisas que simplesmente nunca vai chegar aqui, não dá mais pra entrar numa livraria local com o mesmo entusiasmo de antes.

Enfim, resolvi colocar aqui a lista atual. Quem sabe, talvez alguma coisa aí chame a atenção de alguém. Eu acharia divertido ver a lista de outra pessoa que lesse bastante e fosse tão exigente quanto eu pra escolher. Copiei e colei, do jeito que estava. Os blocos separam, muito mais ou menos, os assuntos, gêneros, ou a época em que foram adicionados.
